Lunch

Today was fun and it always is when you meet with friends and have a little sewing time and then lunch out. Did a little shopping after at a cute shop in old Fair Oaks, they always have fun stuff. Then picked up my Singer Featherweight machine from a great shop that fixes machines . Mom gave me her old machine and it needed to be cleaned and now runs great. My thanks to the Cordova sewing and vacum repair shop. Nice people and fast service.

Hello hello everybody....I know its been years but life has a mind of it's own. Just got back from Fla. to help mom out and of course shop(and buy 8 pair of new shoes.) Have not done this in a while so this may be a little rocky. Want to post pictures but will have to learn how. That's mom after lunch.

Hello, Hello, I can see that I'm going to be a hit or miss type blogger. Hope everyone had a wonderful 4th. It was very quiet in Shingle, our county has a no fireworks law. Which is fine with me. We're very dry and a fire is always a worry. This time of year the husband always goes to Michigan to visit with his family, sometimes I go and sometimes not. It's kinda nice with no meals to cook and lots of time to caught up on behind quilts that keep calling me. I also have walls to paint and weeds to be pulled. Enough already....I'm working on an embroidery for my second granddaughter (will try to post pictures), a Halloween quilt for my daughter for Christmas and bom's that I'm behind in. Have a busy next week of sewing.

I'm back

Sorry I've been gone so long, but lost my blog. Wonderful Pam gave me a clue on how to find me and I did. I feel like such a newbe...a little unsure of myself and how to say and what to say. Spent a wonderful day at Bearpaws and Hollyhock the quilt shop of people in the know in the greater Sacramento area. I'm taking several classes and am behind in all but one. Not to bad. Today was Fabed Glory. Have been reading lots of blogs and getting more ideas than I know what to do with. I could spend my time in front of the computer and not getting anything around here done. I'll try to catch you up on life in Shingle Springs and try to put some pictures in too. We'll see how I do. Later Jackie

Starting out

Not quiet sure what I'm doing, but I so love reading everyone's blog. I have a lot to learn on how to set this up and how to add pictures. My good friend told me I should write a book on my life, because it makes her laugh so. I'm from the south and she's a California girl. So I have lots of funny ways of doing or saying things. I'm a quilter and gardener and a person who loves life. The good and the bad, not so much the ugly..
